What to Do Before Your Visit
Here are quick tips for handling common dental emergencies until you reach our office:
Tooth Knocked Out:
Keep the tooth moist. Try placing it back in the socket or store it in milk. Time is critical — the sooner you’re treated, the better the chance of saving it.
Cracked or Broken Tooth:
Rinse with warm water and avoid chewing on that side. If there’s swelling, apply a cold compress.
Toothache:
Rinse with warm salt water. Take over-the-counter pain relief if needed. Do not apply aspirin directly to gums — it can cause burns.
Swelling or Abscess:
This may indicate a serious infection. Call us right away. Apply a cold compress and drink fluids until we can treat you.
